About John Romano

John Romano has spent his whole life observing, categorizing, and untangling the workings of the natural world.  A passion for reptiles and evolution led him to the Smithsonian where he researched play behavior in Komodo Dragons.

Now he is the head of science at a private boarding school where he infects those around him with his unhealthy obsession for the natural world.  His various outlets for this obsession include urban snake hunting, urban gardening,  bird watching, grilling, tool using, and problem solving.

His most recent passion is for reviving the paleolithic lifestyle of eating and behavior to improve his quality of life.  He can be summed up with the simple statement….

…a stone age man living in a space-aged world.
